|Residents:||Aeolus, Boreas, Notos, Eurus, and Zephyrus|
|Purpose:||To contain the winds|
Aeolia was the island on which Aeolus, god and keeper of the winds, resided. This island isn't mentioned in myths other than Odysseus where the Argonauts went to the island and were given help by Aeolus. Odysseus' crew opened the bag of winds from Aeolus, while Odysseus was asleep, all the way and were sent back to the island, but Aeolus refused to help them again.
- The island is sometimes said to be floating in the air, rather than being in water.
