Okay, I can assume most of us think that Zeus is a pretty bad ruler, and since both Kronos and Ouranus was overthrown by their sons; I feel like that tradition should live on. Now, I am well aware that a rebellion has already been attempted by Hera, Poseidon, Apollo, and Athena and ultimately failed. I am also aware that there was already a child of Zeus destined to overthrow him (his second child with Metis), but unfortunately, he ate Metis so that prophecy can't be fulfilled (I still don't understand that). However, I do believe that one of Zeus's own children will, someday, overthrow him. What comes around goes around, right? So, who do you feel deserve such a title?

I added a source on one of my edits so that person(someone I will not name.) could see were I got my info, show me were they got their info so we could just ut correct information on this thing. But no, he dosn't even open the link. You know how I know? I he/she did, Then their would be some real edits to that page.

    Religion of Eris

May 13, 2015 by Pope Hilde

Depending upon which ancient scholar you read, there may have been two Erises, one more of a trouble-maker than the other. Eris was generally not portrayed in a very positive light.

Ironically, in the 20th and 21st century, Eris is the Greek goddess who's been most honored (to the Romans she is Discordia). The religion of Discordianism began in the late 1950s and is featured in a number of Wikipedia articles. And in the 21st century, the 10 planet of our Solar System, now called a dwarf planet, was named Eris.

For more about Discordianism, see the Discordian Wiki. I'm an admin there, and plan to add links there to this site.

A few days ago, I was reading the unadapted English version of the Odyssey. I would have loved it if it weren't for Homer. Every couple of pages, Homer always talks about how amazing and powerful Zeus is and how wise he is etc etc. It reminded me of Twilight, where every two sentences, Bella talks about how hot Edward is.

Let me ask you: What is so great about Zeus? I really don't get it "What is so great about ruling the sky???" How does that make you powerful?

If you look at the epithets of Zeus, most of them are all about "Thunder" and "Lightning" and "Rain". First of, there is nothing much in the Sky, except maybe air.

In contrast, Poseidon has lot of cool stuff like earthquakes, natural disasters, fishes, oceans, winds etc. In fact, he i…

    Tired of it

    May 26, 2014 by Enyalios0067

Straight to the point ------> I have been editing a few pages and someone always undos them, even though the changes I made were right. The pages that I noticed this happened a lot to was Ares, Phobos, Deimos, and Aphrodite. They always get undone about an hour after my changes were made.

There are a lot of debates on who's the most powerful god: Zeus, Poseidon or Hades? This blog is about my verdict on them. Feel free to comment.

First of all, there are two types of Power: the Influential type and the Supernatural type. So the most powerful god according to you depends on your definition of power.

Zeus is the most powerful god in terms of influence. After all he's the King of the Gods and was honored in all Greek Cities. Also because most Olympians and gods are either his children or his sisters.

Poseidon comes next, because he ruled over the oceans (which the Greeks depended on) and was the Protector of Greece. Hence the Greeks both feared and respected him at the same time.

Hades is the least influential god because he was t…

I'm gonna get straight to the point. SOMEONE has been deleting all the info off of the pages, I just got done fixing 5 different gods, the main page, and the olympians page. Everyone that cares about this site needs to take the effort and make sure the pages are not deleted that shouldn't be deleted.
