The Double-Aulos of Double flute is a wind instrument with two resonant pipes or tubes played simultaneously.

The double flute is the symbol of Euterpe the muse of Euterpe

The creator of the Double-Flute is up for debate.  Since the Double-Flute is the symbol of power of Euterpe some claim that she was the creator.  Others claim that the satyr Marsyas created it because of how well he played it one sided in the music contest against Apollo.  A third belief is that the instrument's creator was Athena who discarded it when it caused her cheeks to puff and that the instrument was found and mastered by Marsyas.
