Hyppolitos was one of the Gigantes, born to oppose the god of travelers, Hermes. He's the son of Gaea and Tartarus, and the messenger of the Gigantes. In the Giant War, Hermes defeated him with the help of Hades' symbol of power, the Helm of Darkness.
