Iphiklus was the son of Thestius by Leukippe. He is not to be confused with the son of Phylakus and Periklymene who was another Argonaut by the same name.  The exact extent of what he performed as a service for the Argonauts is unknown because he is mentioned only in the part of the story where the Argonauts assemble.
