Thalassa (Greek: Θαλασσα) was the primeval spirit of the sea. Thalassa wasn't actually in a human-like form, her body was literally the seas.

  • Some say that Aphrodite was Thalassa's daughter because Aphrodite rose from the sea after Ouranos' genitals were thrown into the sea which impregnated Thalassa.
