Typhon (Gr: Τυφων) was the storm giant and was the final child of Gaea.

Myth

Gaea's final Child

After the Titanomachy, Gaea and Tartarus had an offspring, which was Typhon. Gaea was furious that the gods punished the titans, her children, and sent her final child to destroy them. Many of the gods went into hiding, mostly in Egypt, though Zeus and his five siblings remained. While Zeus was deciding what to do, Typhon and Echidna had children. Zeus and Typhon then did battle. Eventually Zeus won and imprisoned him under Mt. Etna.
